A little About Me
Hi I'm Liwa, I live in Ireland out in the countryside surrounded by pheasants and rabbits. I'm currently a fourth year animation student in Limerick College of Art and Design.
Besides from art, I also have a love for music and languages. After a long day, I like to relax and unwind by the piano. My favourite composer is Chopin. His etudes were one of the biggest things that drew me into the classical music world.

I love the sound and feel of different languages. I started studying Japanese early on secondary school with the help of my familiarity with Chinese as well as having immersed myself in Japanese through anime.
About My Work
Much of my work is inspired by the East. Being half Chinese, I have an interest in the various cultures surrounding my roots.
I mainly work digitally as I enjoy the clean space provided. My style fluctuates between cute and playful and being more serene.
My favourite pieces aim to search for and emulate a deeper sense of peace and freedom in life. In the same way that one might gaze at the moon longingly, I too search for that something through my art.

Depending on the piece, I often prefer to write my signature in Chinese using my Chinese surname '金' meaning gold.
