When All is Quiet

This piece came with that late night energy and inspiration, when all was very quiet. It started off being a simple test for some new brushes that I'd gotten earlier but turned into something much more.

I used kept the colour palette fairly monochromatic to emphasis the shapes and textures. The soft gradients in the background portray the mist that appears so early in the morning that it's practically still night. I wanted to create an ambiguous time where it could be deep in the night or the small hours before dawn breaks.

The character's clothes are traditional, almost ceremonial, adding to the mysterious air of the piece. He walks with many or one thought in his mind, as would I if I could be in such a moment.
